Pepperl+Fuchs takes over VMT Vision Machine Technic Bildverarbeitungssysteme GmbH, Weinheim

The Pepperl+Fuchs Group is one of the worldwide leading manufacturers of industrial sensor technologies for Factory Automation as well as components for the intrinsic safety protection for Process Automation.

VMT GmbH has 60 employees and supplies turnkey solutions for the field of robot vision, robot guidance and machine vision. The system solutions are based on image processing and laser technologies. With more than 15 years of experience in the field of image processing and more than 600 facilities installed worldwide, VMT belongs to the most famous suppliers for the German automotive manufacturers and their automotive component suppliers. Furthermore, VMT realized successfully numerous projects, i. e. in the pharmaceuticals or domestic appliances sector. The service includes all steps from the planning, installation and implementation up to the maintenance of these systems.

With the acquisition of VMT, the Pepperl+Fuchs Group extends the Factory Automation product range by high-end image processing systems. These products and single-source services will continue to be brought to the market with the VMT brand.

Furthermore, Pepperl+Fuchs strengthens its competence in the field of methods and procedures in industrial image processing which enables significant technical synergy effects with the vision sensors made by Pepperl+Fuchs.
